The challenge
Wakefield needed cooking support that would reach people facing food and cost-of-living pressures — and keep going after the funding ended.
What we did
We used a train-the-trainer approach, equipping local workers — carers, women’s and men’s refuge staff and library teams — with the skills, recipes and confidence to run their own cookery clubs.
The outcome
A self-sustaining network of community cookery clubs that grows year on year, embedding practical, affordable cooking skills locally.
